Leica iCON iGW3 for skid-steer and compact track loaders

Optimising material movement, grading on landscaping and construction applications

Compact track loader with Dual GNSS Leica iCON grade machine control solution from Leica Geosystems

Skid-steer (SSL) and compact track loaders (CTL) are popular machines, not only in heavy construction, but also in landscaping and residential building industries. Their versatility and flexibility make them ideal for earthmoving, material grading/spreading and levelling applications in narrow areas that manoeuvrability is a must (landscaping, parking lots, pedestrian and bike paths), and are ideal when soil compaction should be kept to the minimum. With the Leica iCON iGW3 solution, we further optimise their earthmoving jobs with 3D guidance functionalities and features that support the operator to complete the task with the minimum effort possible. Additionally, there is no longer the need for the traditional stake out and level check workflows.

One-for-all

Leica Geosystems provides a comprehensive solution for all 3D applications, consisting of both software and hardware. The versatile Leica MCP80 panel, which is cable-free, can easily be transferred between different machines with the help of the Leica MDS05, MDS20, and MDS30 docking stations. These in-cabin docking stations securely store machine-specific information, including calibration values and hydraulic parameters. This ensures that the MCP80 can be moved to another machine without any risk of data loss. Additionally, the docking stations are equipped with an integrated 4G modem, offering global support across all regions.

Increase your uptime

With the user-friendly Leica MC1 software, SSL and CTL operators can enhance their efficiency and get the job done accurately from the start. By offering a choice between full-screen or split-screen views, the software allows operators to visualise the movements of their tools on a live heatmap, providing valuable insights into the surface being worked on. The surface logging functionality further enhances this capability. Additionally, the modify model feature facilitates quick updates to the model if needed, enabling operators to make necessary adjustments while on the job.

Share data seamlessly

Leica Geosystems ensures seamless integration and sharing of project data across its suite of solutions. Project files generated in Leica ConX are automatically synchronized with the Leica MC1 software installed on the machine. This integration allows project managers to effortlessly sync all as-built data, captured using the surface logging functionality, to the ConX 3D page. This feature facilitates progress tracking, reporting, volume calculations, and model creation, providing a comprehensive overview of the project's status. Furthermore, SSL and CTL operators can benefit from various Safety Awareness Solutions for on- and off- machine usage.

Versatile and ease to use

Developed with a focus on addressing user challenges, the Leica MC1 software provides tailored workflows specifically designed for the construction industry. This ensures that the solutions can be efficiently deployed within a few hours, benefiting users with a streamlined process. Calibration of the system is made simple through intuitive software wizards, accommodating both manual and TPS calibration. The software also supports tilt-unit creation and the creation of multiple buckets, enabling operators to swiftly switch between different buckets as they carry out their daily tasks.
