The Leica RTC360 3D Reality Capture solution addresses this problem by fully automating the registration process and delivering actionable results directly in the field. The core technology that is used is based on the Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) method, which is integrated in the “Visual Inertial System (VIS)” of the RTC360 laser scanner.
