The Leica iCON grade iGW3 wheel loader system provides the real-time positioning of the bucket, allowing the operator to apply instantaneous adjustments to the bucket's position. The system uses state -of-the-art GNSS technology and supports a wide range of industry-standard data formats including LandXML, DXF, GEO, KOF, L3D, LMD, LIN, MBS and TRM, which offers the customer flexibility for a variety of applications and workflows. Design information and real-time cut and fill indications are displayed on the Leica MCP80 control panel in the cab for an easy and productive operation, while the user-friendly Leica MC1 machine control software provides full guidance and other application-specific features for an optimised job.

One-for-all

Leica Geosystems offers one software and one hardware platform for all 3D applications. The cable-free Leica MCP80 panel is easy to swap from one machine to another, thanks to the Leica MDS05, MDS20 and MDS30 docking stations. The in-cabin mounted docking stations store machine-specific data such as calibration values and hydraulic parameters, allowing the MCP80 to move to another machine without the risk of losing machine data. Moreover, they offer an integrated 4G modem to support all regions worldwide.

The Modify Models feature guides the operator to achieve efficient results with an automatic update of the model in MC1 while working.

Share data seamlessly

Project data is seamlessly shared among integrated solutions from Leica Geosystems. Project files from Leica ConX are automatically synchronised with the Leica MC1 software on the machine. Project managers can synch all as-built data created with surface logging functionality to the ConX 3D page for progress tracking, reporting, volume calculations and model creation. Moreover, there is the option to equip the wheel loader with Leica safety awareness systems, which can also sync alerts and incident data to the ConX Safety Awareness Module, enchanting proactive safety measures and incident traceability.

The Leica MC1 software is developed with its users' pain points in mind. The software offers construction-tailored workflows, which make the solutions easier for everyone to deploy within a few hours. The system is easy to calibrate through the intuitive software wizards, for both manual and TPS calibration. The system also allows for tilt-unit creation and the creation of multiple buckets. This allows operators to quickly change between their different buckets while executing their daily work.
